Dimensional accuracy

Built for demanding pump and valve assemblies

Fluid handling systems require high dimensional consistency. In centrifugal pumps, control valves, pressure regulators, and actuators, small variations in component geometry can cause leakage, pressure loss, vibration, or premature seal failure.

01

Concentricity & runout

Pump shaft sleeves and bearing spacers can maintain runout within ±0.005 mm to help prevent shaft whip and mechanical seal misalignment.

02

Surface roughness

Valve stems, seal faces, and internal bores can be produced at Ra 0.4 µm or smoother to protect elastomer seals and packing materials.

03

Axial spacing

Precision spacers control impeller clearance and valve seat positioning for accurate flow rates and consistent shutoff under line pressure.

CNC turning

Diameters from 2.0 mm up to 300 mm and lengths up to 500 mm. Live tooling supports cross-drilling, keyways, and off-axis milling in one setup.

CNC milling

Work envelope up to 800 mm × 500 mm × 400 mm for valve bodies, manifold blocks, mounting brackets, and specialized hardware.

Tolerance control

Standard machining tolerances to ISO 2768-m, with precision features ground or turned to ±0.005 mm upon request.

Secondary operations

In-house precision drilling, reaming, tapping, deburring, cylindrical grinding, and surface polishing.

Material selection

Choose materials for pressure, chemistry, heat, and wear

The appropriate alloy or plastic depends on working pressure, chemical exposure, thermal range, and wear exposure.

Stainless steels

  • 316 / 316L: Corrosion resistance for chemical pumps, marine environments, and food-grade valves.
  • 17-4PH: High strength and wear resistance for pump shafts, valve stems, and wear rings.
  • 304 / 304L: Cost-effective for industrial water pumps, pneumatic valve bodies, and spacers.

Non-ferrous alloys

  • Brass & bronze: Low friction for shaft bushings, guide sleeves, and non-sparking components.
  • 6061-T6 / 7075-T6: Lightweight options for pneumatic manifolds, actuator housings, and spacers.
  • Copper: Useful where thermal or electrical conductivity is required.

Engineering plastics

  • PTFE: Chemically inert for demanding valve and pump environments.
  • PEEK: High-temperature and high-pressure performance for seats and bushings.
  • POM / Delrin: Low-friction performance for wear washers and isolation components.

Surface finishing

Protective finishes that extend service life

Surface treatments protect raw materials from aggressive media, reduce friction, and improve field performance.

Passivation

ASTM A967 / A380 treatment removes free iron and enhances stainless steel corrosion resistance.

Electropolishing

Electropolishing and mechanical polishing can reduce roughness to Ra 0.2 µm for sanitary applications.

Anodizing

Type II and Type III hardcoat anodizing improves aluminum hardness, abrasion resistance, and dielectric properties.

Plating & oxide finishes

Electroless nickel, zinc plating, and black oxide protect carbon steel components in varied operating environments.

Quality assurance

Inspection at every critical production stage

SpacerMFG performs dimensional inspection throughout production to verify compliance with your drawing requirements.

Material verification→FAI→In-process checks→Final report
  1. 01

    Raw material verification

Material test reports and mill certificates are available upon request for traceability.

  2. 02

    First-article inspection

Critical features, threads, and diameters are verified before production runs begin.

  3. 03

    In-process checks

Calibrated gauges and micrometers check bores, steps, wall thicknesses, and surface finishes.

  4. 04

    Final quality inspection

CMM, optical comparators, thread gauges, and surface roughness testers verify final compliance.

Application fit

Match project requirements to the right process

High-pressure hydraulic valves

Recommended: Turned 17-4PH or carbon steel with heat treatment.

High yield strength helps prevent bore deformation under pressure spikes.

Chemical processing pumps

Recommended: Turned 316L stainless steel with passivation.

Designed for acid and solvent resistance with minimal iron contamination.

Sanitary & food-grade valves

Recommended: Electropolished 316L stainless steel, Ra < 0.4 µm.

Smooth internal bores simplify cleaning and help prevent bacteria accumulation.

High-speed rotating shafts

Recommended: Precision-ground stainless sleeves with runout < 0.005 mm.

Supports dynamic balance and protects dynamic seals.

Pneumatic control systems

Recommended: Anodized aluminum spacers and standoffs.

A lightweight, economical option for volume assembly with tight dimensional control.
