Custom Precision Shaft Spacers

Precision-turned and milled shaft spacers engineered to exact print specifications for severe mechanical duty, high-speed rotary assemblies, and critical axial positioning.

SpacerMFG has operated from Shenzhen, China since 2013, producing custom components in alloy steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, bronze, and engineering plastics.

Engineering function

Axial control for demanding assemblies

Precision shaft spacers maintain exact axial distance between bearings, gears, sprockets, pulleys, and structural housings along a rotating or stationary shaft. Unlike standard washers or commercial shim stock, they are designed to sustain radial dynamics, thrust loads, and tight assembly tolerances.

01

Face parallelism

Distributes dynamic thrust loads evenly across bearing races to help prevent micro-misalignment, shaft binding, and premature bearing failure.

02

Bore concentricity

Reduces imbalance and vibration in high-RPM motor drives, gearboxes, and other rotary systems.

03

Surface integrity

Burr-free edges and controlled tool marks help protect mating shafts, seals, and operators during assembly.

CNC machining capabilities

Built around your drawing and production plan

Multi-axis CNC turning centers, Swiss-type automatic lathes, and vertical machining centers support components ranging from small instrument sizes to heavy industrial dimensions.

Keyways & splines

Internal or external slots for shaft locking and torque transmission.

Retaining ring grooves

Precision snap-ring or circlip grooves on ID or OD surfaces.

Stepped & flanged profiles

Integrated shoulders locate adjacent components without extra backing rings.

Cross-drilling & tapping

Radial grease ports, set-screw threads, and oil lubrication channels.

Split and clamping configurations

Slotted or split-collar geometries for non-marring shaft clamping.

Secondary operations

  1. 1

    Raw machining

CNC turning, milling, and feature creation.

  2. 2

    Edge deburring

Removal of burrs, sharp corners, and tool flash.

Application fit

Designed for precise motion and load control

Industrial automation & motion control

Servo motor shafts, ball screw supports, and linear guide systems benefit from tight face parallelism that helps prevent axial binding and backlash under high dynamic cycles.

Robotics & drones

Weight-optimized aluminum and titanium shaft spacers support robotic arms, joint actuators, and gimbal drives where mass reduction improves payload responsiveness.

Heavy equipment & powertrains

Hardened steel spacers are used in planet carriers, transfer cases, and hydraulic pumps to absorb continuous axial thrust loads.

Electronics & precision instruments

Small-bore brass, stainless steel, and plastic spacers fit optical mounts, encoder shafts, and micro-actuators requiring zero burr residue.

Quality assurance

Verification from raw stock to dispatch

Every production lot undergoes quality control protocols with traceability from material receiving through final dispatch.

First-article inspection

Full dimensional check against print specifications before production begins.

In-process quality checks

Periodic sampling during CNC turning helps identify tool wear early.

Final dimensional verification

Bore gages, micrometers, air gages, surface plates, dial indicators, and CMM equipment verify bore, OD, parallelism, and flatness.

Surface and documentation control

Contact profilometers verify Ra requirements. Dimensional inspection reports, Certificates of Conformance, and Material Test Reports are available upon request.
