Reliable spacing and alignment across millions of cycles

Packaging equipment operates under continuous mechanical stress, high cycle rates, and strict alignment requirements. High-speed form-fill-seal machines, rotary cappers, automated case packers, and labeling systems depend on exact spacing and rigid mechanical support to maintain timing, prevent jam-ups, and reduce premature component wear.

SpacerMFG works directly with packaging machinery OEMs, automation integrators, and equipment rebuilders to deliver print-to-part components for rigorous production environments.

Technical demands

Components engineered for dynamic packaging machinery

Linear actuators, indexing tables, conveyor drives, and pneumatic pushers operate across millions of continuous cycles. Precision spacers and sleeves help preserve structural integrity in these moving assemblies.

01

Parallelism and flatness

Flat, parallel end faces distribute axial loads and help prevent shaft binding, angular deflection, and fatigue.

02

Controlled wall thickness

Consistent geometry supports concentric load sharing across sleeves, bushings, and stacked components.

03

Corrosion resistance

Material and finish options withstand washdowns and chemical exposure in food, beverage, and pharmaceutical lines.

04

Wear and friction control

Specified finishes and hardness help guide surfaces resist galling during high-velocity linear movement.

CNC machining capabilities

From precision spacers to complete automation components

SpacerMFG operates dedicated CNC turning and milling lines for low-to-high volume production. Components are manufactured according to customer-supplied CAD models, prints, and tolerance specifications.

Precision spacers

Round, square, or hex profiles with controlled ID, OD, and length tolerances.

Sleeves and bushings

Thin- or heavy-wall cylindrical parts for shaft protection, bearing support, and mechanical separation.

Stepped and flanged spacers

Integrated shoulders and flanges simplify assembly and provide positive locating stops.

Threaded spacers and standoffs

Internal, external, or combined threads for sensors, frames, and control panels.

Custom turned and milled parts

Shafts, pins, mounting blocks, guide rails, and brackets designed for packaging automation.

Material selection

Match materials and finishes to the machine zone

The correct material and surface treatment depends on whether a component operates in a dry frame, sanitary washdown zone, or high-speed indexing mechanism.

Material categoryTypical gradePrimary application
Stainless steel304 / 316LWashdown zones, filling heads
Stainless steel17-4 PHHigh-stress indexing drives
Aluminum6061-T6 / 7075-T6Reciprocating arms, end-effectors
Carbon steel1018 / 1045 / 4140Internal drive frames, rollers
Brass / bronzeC360 / C932Low-friction sleeve bushings
Engineering plasticsPOM / PEEKNon-marring container guides

Passivation

For stainless components exposed to humid, acidic, or food-contact environments.

Anodizing

Type II and Type III hardcoat options for wear protection and identification.

Electroless nickel

Uniform coverage for bores and complex threads with added hardness.

Protective plating

Black oxide and zinc plating for internal structural steel parts.

Laser marking

Part numbers, serial numbers, and batch codes for traceability.

Application guide

Component recommendations by packaging zone

Zone 01

Dry conveying

For cartoners, case packers, and palletizers, carbon steel and aluminum spacers provide rigid frame spacing, conveyor shaft positioning, and sensor bracket mounting where structural loads and vibration matter more than chemical exposure.

Zone 02

Washdown and sanitary

Liquid fillers, thermoformers, and pouch-sealing equipment benefit from passivated 304 or 316L stainless steel with smooth radii and zero-crevice geometry to limit liquid collection, bacterial growth, and chemical corrosion.

Zone 03

High-speed indexing

Pick-and-place grippers, flying cut-offs, and rotary turret indexers require low mass and tight length parallelism. Hardcoat-anodized 6061-T6 or 7075-T6 aluminum supports rapid acceleration and deceleration.

Quality assurance

Verified for seamless drop-in assembly

Every production lot is inspected against customer 2D and 3D drawings. Quality controls verify flatness, perpendicularity, thread pitch, surface finish uniformity, and coating thickness.
